Lowestoft Town FC - Headline -- Bloaters beat young blues

It was a young side that the Blues fielded against Gt Yarmouth Town at the Wellesley last week. In an even first half it was the Bloaters who took the lead in the 19th minute. As the Blues defence hesitated as a Yarmouth forward retreated from the penalty area Vide raced through and although Dave Attridge blocked his shot the ball ran loose to Sewell to hit into the empty net.

Yarmouth doubled their lead seconds before the interval with a free kick from the right bundled home by Reed. Substitute keeper Tom Marsden made some smart saves in the early part of the second half before the Blues sent on some of their bigger guns taking full control of the game. However they were only able to pull back one goal a couple minutes from the end with Will Smart played though to clip the ball into the net before indulging in a spectacle celebration routine.
